Awaken OS OnePlus 6+6T New update 15th March 2022 Full Review and Test

 Last time on 5th of the March I gave you update blogpost for awaken OS oneplus 6 and 6T. That rom was pretty solid But still some users reported that mic issue in audio calls so Vikas aka Optimus and all awaken OS devs team has released new update on 15th March. Visually you will not see any difference in the rom but when you use it it's actually makes difference in usage than previous rom. As this rom is now encrypted by default you need to clean flash the rom so without wasting time lets get started for installation and review.  As you can see that last time I was on evolution-x android 12L rom. I will now start flashing of awaken os so first Download Awaken OS zip file and finalize zip OnePlus 6: DOWNLOAD OnePlus 6T: DOWNLOAD Finalize zip: DOWNLOAD If you are doing first time installation you need following files : TWRP for onepus6: DOWNLOAD TWRP for onepus6T: DOWNLOAD OxygenOS 11.1.2.2 FIRMWARE for OnePlus 6: (if you are not on this base rom both slots A/B)

Android 12 For OnePlus 6 | Stable Android 12 Syberia OS 5.0

In this We'll flash the fully Working android 12 Syberia OS custom rom for the oneplus 6...

                                                         


Note: Rom is only flashable through Dualboot orangefox recovery first flash that and then follow steps as shown below otherwise u will face crash dump mode.

Prerequisite :

Before installation of this rom you must be on stable built of the oneplus 6 & the twrp installed on your phone. If you didn't have the the android 11 firmware link given under links section. So how to flash that firmware on both slots? So reboot to TWRP flash OOS 11.1 firmware flash TWRP reboot back to TWRP again flash OOS 11.1, flash TWRP and reboot to system, now you are on the slot A & B of your device.

After complete setup, download all the files like syberia os zip , android 11 firmware(This is small firmware not complete OTA) , nik gapps and the Orange fox dual boot RECOVERY. First we need to install orange fox recovery it's the only way to boot this rom.

Steps:

  1. So, we assume that you have android 11 stable OOS 11.1 built installed on you one plus 6 already and you have working TWRP if not download given under links section below. Now first boot to twrp and flash the orange fox dual boot recovery and select the volume down to disable the DM variety check and the force encryption while flashing the recovery other options like the magisk installation are optional. Finally, after the orange fox recovery installation click reboot & select the recovery now the phone will boot into orange fox recovery.
  2. Now go to the download folder (Please find the attached link below) where you placed all the flashable files. first flash the siberia OS zip file, slide to install. after successful installation of the rom now again the orange for dual boot recovery zip and keep all the prompts same as we previouly flashed now click reboot again & select the recovery after phone boots into the orange fox then select the android 11 firmware file flash it & then flash the nik gapps.
  3. If you want to root then you can also flash the magisk zip also .
  4. After all the To - Do's the go to delete button then select the format data and type yes now click reboot the system & wait for few minutes your device willl boots in the new android 12 Syberia OS so If you go into the Phone setting - About Phone - You'll see the new android version 12 and security patch is updated to oct. 2021 and the kernel is 4.9

Bugs -
1.Not found any major issues but when we make a call phone calling is not popping up but to resolve this issue you can download any other phone application eg. google phone app from playstore & make it as a default app for phone calling.

2.If you are facing Bluetooth sound shutter issue to solve bluetooth issues, go to settings, search "offload"; "Disable bluetooth A2DP Hardware Offload" will come up; Disable that and let the phone restart.

3.if you are facing android system intelligence app force closing just go to settings >apps>search for the app and disable it.

Install any custom GSI rom on any device as dualboot rom

  Hey what up guys DSU LOADER is awesome implementation by Google to test generic system images that Google going to release new Android versions which can be loaded over the existing OS , with the single reboot we can go back to stock rom.Its only available in Android 10+ roms via developers setting there we gets DSU LOADER option, but that setting will load only compatible gsi packages available for your device when we tap on it , it will gets downloaded and flashed. But developers like phh has developed phh treble gsi rom using these images which are bootabale and working on lots of devices but to install them we need to follow tedious fastboot flashable or twrp flashable installation process which also wipes system, that I created in lots of YT videos.
