Last time on 5th of the March I gave you update blogpost for awaken OS oneplus 6 and 6T. That rom was pretty solid But still some users reported that mic issue in audio calls so Vikas aka Optimus and all awaken OS devs team has released new update on 15th March. Visually you will not see any difference in the rom but when you use it it's actually makes difference in usage than previous rom. As this rom is now encrypted by default you need to clean flash the rom so without wasting time lets get started for installation and review. As you can see that last time I was on evolution-x android 12L rom. I will now start flashing of awaken os so first Download Awaken OS zip file and finalize zip OnePlus 6: DOWNLOAD OnePlus 6T: DOWNLOAD Finalize zip: DOWNLOAD If you are doing first time installation you need following files : TWRP for onepus6: DOWNLOAD TWRP for onepus6T: DOWNLOAD OxygenOS 11.1.2.2 FIRMWARE for OnePlus 6: (if you are not on this base rom both slots A/B)
About syberia OS: An AOSP/CAF based project built to enhance the stock Android experience For oneplus 6. Syberia is first android 12 based custom rom still it is one of the most the most stable and cutomizable rom availabe for oneplus 6 and 6T. Last time i have created post for syberia 5.2 10th Feb update but on 25th feb 2022 syberia team has released new update with lots of new features that we are waiting for, So today in this post we will see how to clean flash this latest update if you are coming from another rom. So let's see whats new features has been impleamented in the rom which makes this rom unique than its competitor rom pixel experience. Prerequisites:
1) Must be on TWRP 3.6(If your not links are given in the post in installation segment)
2) For dirty flash data partition must be on f2fs
3) You must flash OOS 11.1.1 or OOS 11.2.1 on both slots A/B before flashing syberia rom.Following are links for oxygen OS firmware.
OxygenOS 11.1.1 for oneplus 6:

1)INSTALLATION:
Download all necessary files and place them in internal storage of the phone
A)Download:( Rom included with gapps)

Android 11 firmware:(Small firmware package if you are already on syberia or previously flashed this no need to use now)
TWRP 3.6 image:

B)Procedure:
we already flashed syberia os several time so full oxygen os firmware and small OOS firmware zip are not required again here we just only need syberia os 5.2 update zip file.
If you are doing first time installation then only you need OOS small firmware zip.
Now go to security setting and remove all pin and password lock in the phone.
If you have advance reboot setting in power menu then boot directly to TWRP or power off device and long press volume down and power button to boot in to TWRP.
TWRP 3.6 is recommended.
After booting to TWRP just tap install and flash syberia zip file then tap advance and tap flash current TWRP if you dont have this option in TWRP then I have given TWRP installer zip you can flash that and now reboot back to TWRP.
So I was reverted to ext4 data partation because of awaken os so to avoid encryption issue in TWRP. we need to format data to f2fs so tap wipe and check mark data partition now tap repair or change file system option available at bottom now tap f2fs and slide bottom bar so we shifted to f2fs. Now we need to format data again it's not necessary still you can do that go to wipe then advance wipe and tap format data type yes and you are done now tap reboot to system.
So finally we will booted to syberia OS signature boot animation with new pixel style setup menu.
After setup let's see what's changed in about phone
2)What's New:
We are still on android 12 its no surprize, syberia OS version is also same as last 5.2.
Security patch is also the same as last 5th feb 2022.
So the major change is kernel upgraded to 4.9.303 with some scheduler improvement.
This build is merged with all the latest android 12 Google sources 32.
This is latest build of 25th Feb 2022.
Bugfixes and improvement:
They have done some bug fixes like single tap quick setting tile addition is now working without issue no need to drag to add tile in quick setting panel.
In new update they dropped lawnicons from lawnchair launcher and removed Google's adaptive sound.
Performance Test:
Rom has lots of bionic and art improvement so performance wise ROM is working very good similar to last updates but geekbench results were lower in older updates so when I took geekbench test on this new update we got 481 for single core 1941 for multi-core it's still lower that pixel and awaken os roms but still closer to average but I think as temperature of device was raised that's why we got these smaller down results.
Rom is passing safety net check so we can able to use all banking and security

1)Long awaiting features face unlock has been added in security setting.
It's super easy to add the face unlock but I felt it's somewhat slower than awaken os.
2)Another superb addition is google Columbus gestures it's nothing but quick tap gestures available inside system > gestures setting.
Here we gets quick tap gestures for bunch of activities like screenshot, recents panel access, google assistant activation.
There is seperate tab for quick tap strength if we enable this we need stronger taps to access this feature.
It's very good features and working perfectly.
3)Coloured notification icons available by default in the status bar to activate or to disable it we need to go in the syberia setting> panels> under status bar we gets seperate tab to access this.
4)Android 13 inspired media output picker has been added in the ROM which looks very cool and very handy to switch between different media outputs. Under settings> sound> we gets new adaptive playback alternatively called as smart pause .
Whenever we mute sound of the device it will automatically pause the media playback and it's gets automatically resumes the playback when we unmutes the volume, so we cants miss any important part of our media playback.
5)Another big feature added by syberia team is they added pause and resume option for any unsupported download server in statusbar so now we can pause or resume any download.
6) Under display and display size now we gets smaller density sizes like largest,larger,large,default,small, , smaller, smallest. Now we have bunch of screen size density to customise our screen.
6) Now in the battery stats they have added battery temp and battery history graph switch like AOSP and Pixel style but it seems that pixel style battery graph is buggy and not visible.

Apps in the ROM but still widevine is on L3 so no more HD contents for Netflix.
Rom is available with call recording option in the dialer but still call recording is not working, it getting failed every time.
Battery life is already tested in seperate battery test video, you can check that below but still battery is better than pixel and awaken OS roms
