Last time on 5th of the March I gave you update blogpost for awaken OS oneplus 6 and 6T. That rom was pretty solid But still some users reported that mic issue in audio calls so Vikas aka Optimus and all awaken OS devs team has released new update on 15th March. Visually you will not see any difference in the rom but when you use it it's actually makes difference in usage than previous rom. As this rom is now encrypted by default you need to clean flash the rom so without wasting time lets get started for installation and review. As you can see that last time I was on evolution-x android 12L rom. I will now start flashing of awaken os so first Download Awaken OS zip file and finalize zip OnePlus 6: DOWNLOAD OnePlus 6T: DOWNLOAD Finalize zip: DOWNLOAD If you are doing first time installation you need following files : TWRP for onepus6: DOWNLOAD TWRP for onepus6T: DOWNLOAD OxygenOS 11.1.2.2 FIRMWARE for OnePlus 6: (if you are not on this base rom both slots A/B)
OpenGL and Vulkan are two different grafix API in your GPU drivers.Vulkan are newest grafix api launched with Android 7 and offers greater performance and better control of hardware allowing to boost grafix quality and optimization of android device. I was using vulkan version 502 on my oneplus 6 on android 12 Awaken rom and will upgrade to version 615. Today I will give you process how can you update your vulkan grafix drivers to v615 for any SOC(System On chip) weather it is snapdragon or any other soc , that having adreno 600 or 700 series GPU. I done some geekbench test to prove how these updated driver drastically improves grafix performance on vulkan drivers. Also these GPU api will be used by any games by default to improve performance of the game still for BGMI I shown specific way how you can set vulkan api redering for BGMI game. All you need to be magisk rooted device, I have given cache cleaner in blogpost description these if these drivers causing any issue just flash it via TWRP, still if it's not working then remove magisk using magisk uninstaller available in download section but 99% chances are they should work.S
Sofirst of all you need to download application named Hardware caps viewer for vulkan to check which drivers version is currently we are using, as I am on android 12 awaken rom in am on V502.

To show how drastically these driver updating process will improve grafix performance we will first do geekbench test for old Vulkan drivers available for device. now to check open geekbench app and go to compute tab and change compute api to vulkan.Now start the test so finally we got results see here they are just only 1860 remember these results.
Now to update drivers download new magisk flashable zip given below.

Now go to magisk tap install from storage select downloaded new vulkan drivers zip and flash it and tap reboot.
Once we booted we will again go to magisk to check weather module is active or not check if universal vulkan driver module is active or not
Now to check drivers version go to vulkan app and there you can see it's version 615 now.
Let's jump to geekbench app now to check performance of new vulkan drivers so I computed new test using new drivers and when we gets results they are jaw dropping.We gets 2015 which was 155 points higher than previous 1860 results. As I can't believe score so I decided to play BGMI now.
But there is specific app called GFX tool which is helpful to set new vulkan drivers for playing BGMI.
Gfx tool app:
Actually any gaming app will use Best api available in android OS by default but still we will use gfx tool.
Open the app we will get bunch of setting but we are interested in grafix api so we settled it to vulkan, now if we tap on activate now app will ask you to wipe storage just do as given instructions on the screen it will not wipe apps data, remember it will open storage setting just tap wipe storage and go to permission and give storage permission again and just swipe back it will redirect to gfx tool application and now we will get launch app option it will open BGMI.
So now if you play BGMI you will really feel difference grafix looks absolutely stunning and touches and response time is Also got improves a lot, visibiliy we cants tell it but if you palys lots of BGMI then you can really feel the difference.
